Statement by Abigail Moyo, spokesperson of the trade union UASA:
UASA welcomes the appointment of its newly elected Full Time Union Representative (FTUR) at Harmony Gold, Ian Sparrius.
Ian is an accomplished individual with over a decade of work experience in the mining industry. His dedication and hard work in the industry have and continue to afford him great opportunities for growth and development.
Ian has been a member of UASA since 2015 and has played a significant role in UASA’s growth in the mining sector and labour practices. His knowledge and leadership skills make him a valuable asset to the UASA team.
UASA congratulates Ian on his appointment. We wish him the best in this new position.
