Statement by Abigail Moyo, spokesperson of the trade union UASA:
UASA is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Crous as an Operational Manager (Minerals Division) at UASA service center in Welkom.
With over 40 years of work experience in the mining industry, Charlie has adequate knowledge of organized labour practices and relations.
Charlie has been part of UASA for over a decade, starting as a Full Time Union Representative (FTUR) in 2010. Over the years, through practical experience and education in labour relations, Charlie has successfully represented UASA members in challenging disputes such as fatal inquiries, Section 54 and 189 processes, Retrenchments, and CCMA- Arbitration cases.
