Statement by Abigail Moyo, spokesperson of the trade union UASA:
UASA welcomes the appointment of its newly elected Full Time Health and Safety Union Representative (FTHSUR) at Khuseleka Mine, Virginia Davids.
Virginia has been part of the UASA team for almost twenty years, starting her journey as a Women in Mining (WIM) representative. She has closely worked with Khuseleka Mine FTUR, Christo Grobler, and Rustenburg Regional Coordinator, Heine Strydom, who both mentored her about union operations in the mining industry.
Virginia is grateful for the opportunities she was afforded through the union and strives to assist UASA members efficiently and blissful.
UASA congratulates Virginia on her appointment. We wish her the best in this new position.
