Statement by Abigail Moyo, spokesperson of the trade union UASA:
UASA is pleased to announce the appointment of Thabonyana Tsheala and Micheal Annandale, as Full-Time Union Representatives (FTURs) within the Harmony Gold Mining operations.
Over the years, Thabonyana has represented UASA’s values of integrity, dedication, and unwavering service to its members. His commitment to advancing members’ rights has made him a trusted representative for UASA members employed at Harmony Gold Mining’s North and North West regions.
While Micheal began his journey with UASA through the branch committee, where he was elected Vice Chairman and served until 2022, he later continued his service at Joel Mine, supporting UASA members until his successful appointment as FTUR at Harmony Gold Mining South region.
We congratulate Thabonyana and Micheal on their appointments and wish them success in their respective roles in strengthening UASA membership and operations.
