Statement by Abigail Moyo, spokesperson of the trade union UASA:
UASA wishes its National Executive Members (NEC) Jacques Mostert and Brian February all the best in their future endeavors.
With notable experience and knowledge in their respective sectors, Jacques was appointed NEC member (Minerals Sector) in 2020, while Brian was appointed NEC member (General Sector) in 2021. Jacques currently serves as Full Time Union Representative (FTUR) Coordinator at Sibanye Stillwater Gold Operations.
UASA is proud of Brian and Jacques for their dedication and unwavering commitment to advancing members’ interests and the future of UASA.
UASA President Patience Mapitsi handed them certificates on behalf of our members to thank them for the commendable services rendered to UASA as part of the NEC.
Brian and Jacques resigned as NEC members at the inaugural meeting of the year held at UASA Head Office in Florida on 16 February 2024.
