Statement by Abigail Moyo, spokesperson of the trade union UASA:
UASA, the only recognized union in the hairdressing, beauty, cosmetology, and skincare industry, is pleased to announce its participation in the Professional Beauty Expo held at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, on 3 and 4 September 2023.
The expo is South Africa’s prime beauty event where giants in the beauty industry gather and showcase their work, services and products in beauty, hairdressing, cosmetology and skincare, spa and wellness. UASA Sector Manager (Personal Care Sector) Petunia Matjebe will be a guest speaker at the Beauty Indaba Conference held at the expo.
UASA is proud to be part of this event where knowledge will be shared and the impact of the beauty sector on economic growth and job creation in the country will be discussed.
As in previous years, UASA will set up and operate its exhibition stand in the competition area in the main exhibition hall where UASA representatives will be available to assist members and non-members with any industry/union-related queries.
UASA encourages its members and the general public to visit the Beauty Expo and become better acquainted with the world of beauty.
