UASA’s National Executive Committee (NEC) today held a meeting at UASA’s Head Office in Florida.
The meeting started with a moment of silence to honour those who lost their lives during the Marikana incident on this day in August 2012, including UASA member Mr Franz Mabelane Matlhomola.
May their souls rest in peace.
UASA President Mr Chris De Beer handed over a Certificate of Honorary Life Membership to former UASA CEO Dr JPL (Koos) Bezuidenhout who was invited to accept the gift in person.
NEC members were given an individual copy of the pledge they signed during the UASA 125-year celebration. This will be a personal reminder to them of the commitment they undertook to serve UASA and its members proudly.
UASA also took an opportunity to give beautiful flowers to the female members in the NEC, in acknowledgment of women’s month and to show appreciation for the service they render to UASA.
