UASA Trustees, as appointed in accordance with section 10.4 of the UASA Constitution, fulfil an important independent role and provide oversight in managing the Union`s funds and assets.
In performing their fiduciary duties, the Trustees assist UASA in ensuring good governance, transparency and application of effective internal controls.
The Trustees meet on a monthly basis at the Head Office of the Union in Florida, Johannesburg and provide a written report on their findings to the UASA Management and National Executive Committees. A healthy professional relationship exists between the Trustees, UASA management and UASA’s external auditors.
Retired members in good standing with relevant financial background and suitable experience, who are interested in being appointed as a Trustee of the Union, up to the next UASA congress in 2020, are invited to submit their comprehensive curriculum vitae (CVs) to the office of the CEO of UASA, for consideration and appointment by the National Executive Committee, in one of the following ways:
