UASA signs two year wage agreement with Hulamin

UASA signed a two year wage agreement with Hulamin Operations (PTY) LTD and Hulamin Extrusions (PTY) LTD effective 1 July 2019 until 30 June 2021.

The agreement, which also covers former employees who have since been retrenched, allows for all applicable allowances and benefits to be back paid effective the 1st of July 2019.

A salary increase of 6.5% was agreed upon across all grades for both weekly paid and artisan employees. Salaried employees within grades 13 and 18 also received a 6.5% increase.

The same increase also applies for the second year of the agreement; from 1 July 2020 until 30 June 2021. However, should CPI of April 2020 be greater than 6.5%, the parties will have to engage in another negotiation process.
