26 May

The fuel price decrease coming into effect at midnight will bring relief for workers who fell victim to the steep fuel price hikes of the past 4 months.

As of midnight, petrol will be 9c/ℓ cheaper, diesel will decrease by 31c/ℓ, and paraffin by 23c/ℓ. LP gas will decrease by R1.72/kg.

As winter approaches workers who depend on paraffin and gas for household use like cooking and heating will find it easier to keep warm. UASA encourages members and other South Africans to use the money saved on fuel towards other household needs.
